Symbolic
Programme

The Labyrinth is not a maze — it has one path, no dead ends. The distinction is significant in Damanhurian understanding: a maze tests navigation; a labyrinth enacts transformation. The winding corridor slows the nervous system, disrupts ordinary cognitive patterns, and creates conditions for what practitioners call 'inner perception' — a state of heightened receptivity without the ordinary mind's constant commentary. The wall mosaics depict the soul's journey through time: past lives, karmic patterns, and the progression toward full consciousness. Photography is not permitted in the Labyrinth.

Construction Note

One of the original elements of the complex — the labyrinthine passage concept was present in Falco Tarassaco's earliest design intentions. The wall mosaics were added progressively throughout the construction period.

About This
Hall

The Labyrinth is designed to be experienced through the body and the senses — not through the eye of a camera. The community's protocol is that photographing the space interrupts the meditative state the design is intended to produce. Most visitors report understanding this once they have walked it.
The corridor is approximately 1.8m wide and 2.2m high — narrower and lower than a standard room, but wider than a single doorway. Some visitors with mild claustrophobia find it manageable; others find it challenging. Contact us before booking to discuss your specific situation.
Guides suggest entering without a fixed intention — the Labyrinth is designed to surface what arises naturally. Some visitors walk it silently; others find that a simple question or intention held lightly produces interesting results. There is no correct experience.
The full length is approximately 80 metres in a winding path. Walked slowly — which is how it is intended — this takes 25–40 minutes. Rushing is counterproductive; most visitors slow down naturally once inside.
All guides speak Italian. English, German, and French are available — specify at booking. Private tours in other languages can be arranged with advance notice.
The guided tour moves as a group. Individual backtracking is not possible during the standard visit. If you have a specific wish to spend more time in a particular hall, mention this to your guide at the start — some flexibility is possible in smaller groups.
