Open Eight Doors to Inner Science
Fifty years of living research distilled into a complete curriculum for the awakening mind, body, and spirit.
The Academy at a Glance
Founded alongside Damanhur itself in 1975, the Academy of Sacred Science is the world's most complete school of inner research — encompassing eight full disciplines taught by lifelong practitioners.
The Eight Schools of Sacred Science
Each school is a complete discipline — not a weekend workshop, but a deep tradition with its own teachers, practices, and pathway to mastery.
School of Meditation
Damanhurian meditation builds on structured inner journeys rather than passive stillness. Students learn to navigate inner dimensions consciously, map their own awareness, and develop lucid presence across all states of consciousness.
School of Sacred Dance
Movement as ritual language. Sacred Dance at Damanhur uses the body to communicate across dimensions, harmonise energy centres, and express the inexpressible. Taught in group forms that create collective fields of resonance.
School of Magic
Practical philosophy of transformation. Damanhurian magic is the study of laws governing subtle reality — synchronicity, intention, and the principles by which consciousness shapes the material world.
School of Astral Travel
The Damanhurian approach treats dreaming and astral states as real regions of experience requiring navigation skills. Students learn structured techniques to enter and remember subtle-dimension experiences.
School of Alchemy
The transformation of matter and self. Damanhurian alchemy works with actual substances — herbs, metals, essences — as mirrors of interior processes. Laboratory practice accompanies theoretical study.
School of Healing Arts
Integrated healing drawing on Selfic principles, plant medicine, sacred geometry, and hands-on energy work. Includes Pranotherapy — Damanhur's distinctive healing discipline — and study of the human energy field.
School of Sacred Language
Damanhur's discovered language of the universe — a set of symbols that carry energetic meaning independent of the reader's expectations. Students learn to read, write, and use the Sacred Language for ceremony and art.
School of Music
Music as spiritual architecture. Study encompasses composition, ceremony, the Music of Plants research, and Selfic sound — the use of precisely shaped instruments to create measurable energetic effects.
Three Ways to Study with the Academy
We meet you where you are — from full residency at Damanhur to digital learning from your home city.
In-Person at Damanhur
The deepest immersion. Live and study within the community, guided by teachers who are also practitioners. Includes access to the Temples, forests, and the living example of Damanhurian daily life. Residential courses run 3–10 days.
WisdomLab — Online
The Academy's complete digital platform at just €0.50 per day. Access 1,000+ recorded lectures, live monthly sessions with teachers, and join the global community of online students. Available from any browser, on any device.
Hybrid Programmes
Many multi-month programmes combine online study through WisdomLab with one or two in-person residencies at Damanhur. The best of both worlds — ongoing practice at home, deepened by immersion on site.

Frequently Asked Questions
No prior background is required for introductory courses. Our teachers welcome complete beginners alongside experienced practitioners. The only prerequisite is genuine curiosity and a willingness to engage with inner experience as a subject of serious study.
Damanhur is a spiritual community, not a religion in the conventional sense, and the Academy is not evangelical. We do not ask students to adopt any beliefs. Our approach is empirical — we offer practices, document what happens, and invite students to draw their own conclusions.
Most in-person courses are taught in Italian with simultaneous English translation. WisdomLab content is available in Italian and English, with some content in Spanish, German, and French. We are actively expanding our multilingual library.
All in-person course fees include full-board accommodation at Damanhur (shared rooms), all teaching sessions, and access to community spaces and the Sacred Woods. Temple tours are included where noted. Travel to and from Damanhur is not included.
Absolutely — and we encourage it. Many students find that in-person immersion dramatically accelerates their online learning, and that ongoing online study deepens the integration of what was experienced in person. WisdomLab subscribers also receive discounts on in-person courses.
The Academy issues certificates of completion for individual courses and programmes. The Mystery School year-long programme confers a formal Academy qualification. These are not accredited by state or government bodies — they are credentials within the tradition of sacred science, recognised within our international community of practice.
