Symbolic
Programme

Thousands of hand-cut mirror fragments create an infinite-regression effect that visitors typically experience as disorienting and then, unexpectedly, expansive. Mirrors represent self-knowledge in Damanhurian cosmology — the ability to see oneself from infinite perspectives simultaneously. Tiffany-glass windows depict elemental forces. Copper Selfic coils embedded in the walls form part of the hall's energy structure.

Construction Note

The oldest completed hall — excavated and decorated across the full 14-year clandestine phase. Every mirror fragment was hand-cut by community members working night shifts.

About This
Hall

Yes, photography is welcomed in the Hall of Mirrors and produces exceptional results due to the multiple reflective surfaces. No flash photography. Tripods are not permitted.
The infinite-regression effect of opposing mirrors is a deliberate design choice in Damanhurian cosmology — intended to dissolve the everyday sense of a fixed, singular self. Some visitors describe a brief dizziness followed by unexpected clarity.
All four visit types include the Hall of Mirrors: 4 Halls (€55), Classical (€78), In-Depth (€100), and One Day (€140).
All guides speak Italian. English, German, and French are available — specify at booking. Private tours in other languages can be arranged with advance notice.
The guided tour moves as a group. Individual backtracking is not possible during the standard visit. If you have a specific wish to spend more time in a particular hall, mention this to your guide at the start — some flexibility is possible in smaller groups.
