Damanhur Academy — Workshop Programmes
Learn by Doing
in Sacred Space
A workshop at Damanhur is not a lecture. It is a making — a doing — in one of the world's most charged environments for inner research. You leave with a skill, a creation, or a practice you didn't have when you arrived.
3–4 hours. A focused taster: Music of Plants, Forest Meditation, Sacred Language introduction. Combinable with a morning Temple tour for a full-day visitor experience.
6–7 hours including lunch. Deeper engagement with a single topic — Sacred Dance, Dream Journaling, Practical Alchemy. Requires no prior knowledge; produces something tangible.
2–3 days. Selfica Spiral Making, Healing Arts, Sacred Language deepening. Accommodation included. For those who want to move beyond taster into genuine skill development.

Eight Ways to Make Something Real
Every workshop is designed by Damanhur Academy faculty drawing on the community's living tradition. These are not classes about Damanhur — they are entrances into its practice.
Selfica Spiral Making
The foundational practice of Damanhurian Selfica: learning to wind copper wire into intentional spirals that serve as antennas for specific frequencies of consciousness. You will make your own Selfic object under the guidance of the Orocrea artisans, set an intention into it during making, and learn the basic philosophy of why the spiral is the fundamental form of consciousness technology.

Damanhur's Sacred Language is a constructed language of symbol, gesture, and sound developed over decades as a direct interface with deeper states of consciousness. This full-day workshop introduces the alphabet, the logic of symbol formation, and the felt experience of working in a language designed to bypass the analytical mind. Students leave with a personal sigil — their name written in Sacred Language.
Personal sigil to take homeMusic of Plants
The half-day Music of Plants session gives participants direct access to live plant music technology: you will hear plants make music, understand the biofeedback science behind it, and have the opportunity to play alongside a plant — adding your own instrument (or voice) to the conversation. A brief introduction to the research history is followed by an extended live playing session in the Sacred Woods or communal gardens.
Live plant music sessionForest Meditation Practice
A guided morning in the Sacred Woods of Damanhur, working with specific trees that have participated in decades of consciousness research. This is not a mindfulness walk — it is a structured practice of conscious relationship with the forest, combining movement, stillness, breath, and intention. Participants are introduced to the specific trees of the Sacred Woods and the long-term projects each one participates in.
Outdoors — weather-appropriate clothingDream Journaling
The Damanhurian approach to dream work is more structured than most: it treats dreams as a specific form of inner travel with its own grammar, its own logic, and its own relationship to waking consciousness. This full-day workshop covers the practice of maintaining a Damanhurian dream journal, techniques for increasing dream recall, and a method for working with recurring symbols and patterns. Participants share work in small groups during the afternoon.
Journal provided · Ongoing daily practiceSacred Dance
Sacred Dance at Damanhur is a ceremonial practice — specific movement forms that work with the energy body and with collective field-generation. The full-day Sacred Dance workshop introduces the foundational forms, works through them in group practice, and culminates in a brief collective ceremony using the movement vocabulary introduced during the day. No dance experience required; the practice works with intention, not technique.
Comfortable movement clothing requiredPractical Alchemy
Alchemy in the Damanhurian tradition is approached neither as historical curiosity nor as pure metaphor but as a living science of transformation — working with the consciousness latent in matter itself. This workshop covers the theory of elemental relationships, introduces basic laboratory practices (with materials provided), and guides participants through a small-scale experiment in the transformation of materials and consciousness simultaneously.
All materials and laboratory equipment providedHealing Arts Introduction
An introduction to the three principal Damanhurian healing modalities: Pranotherapy (working with life energy), Selfic healing (using Selfic objects with intention for therapeutic purposes), and the Sacred Language in therapeutic contexts. Over two days, participants receive demonstrations, participate in guided practice, and work with each other under faculty supervision. Suitable for healthcare professionals and interested newcomers alike.

Who Teaches
The Damanhur Academy Faculty
Damanhur's workshop teachers are not imported from elsewhere. They are members of the community who have practised what they teach for decades, inside the tradition they are passing on.
Orocrea Artisans
The Orocrea workshop team have been winding Selfic spirals for 30+ years. Each piece they make is unique; each teaching session is a transmission as much as an instruction.
Esperide Ananas
One of Damanhur's foremost teachers of the ceremonial dance tradition, with expertise in how movement forms work with collective consciousness and ceremonial field generation.
Plant Music Research Team
The team who have been working with the Music of Plants technology since its earliest development — not demonstrators but researchers who continue to discover new dimensions of the practice.
Language Faculty
Specialists in the Damanhurian Sacred Language who understand it as both linguists and practitioners — able to teach the structure and guide the experience simultaneously.
Healing Arts Faculty
Senior practitioners of Damanhurian healing modalities — many with professional healthcare backgrounds who bring both clinical rigour and deep traditional knowledge to the work.
Alchemy Lab Faculty
The Alchemy research group at Damanhur has been conducting laboratory-based research into the consciousness of matter since the 1980s. Their workshops are part instruction, part living experiment.
